National Beer Day… how could we pass this up? April 7th has been the designated day for this holiday since 2009 when Justin Smith, a Craft Beer Examiner, and his friend Mike Connolly, created it. You, like us, are probably curious about how they chose this day. Well… on this day in 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt passed the Cullen-Harrison Act which allowed people to brew and sell beer (remember this was before the end of prohibition). As you can imagine, beer drinkers celebrated this, and we are still celebrating today!
From casual beer drinkers to craft beer connoisseurs, everyone can participate. So, hop on your Electra and get on down to your local pub or brewery to seize the day. And to make it even better? Celebrate National Beer Day with one of our beer-related accessories like the Cheers Domed Ringer Bell or Wired Can Holder. Just remember to ride responsibly!
If you’re a local looking for some Electra beer fans, you may find some of us at our favorite watering holes like Encinitas Ale House, The Bier Garden of Encinitas or Union Kitchen & Tap. Hoppy National Beer Day!
